On September 12, 2017, Rakuten Inc. and the NBA Champions, Golden State Warriors, entered into an official multi-year partnership. As part of this sponsorship, Rakuten Marketing is excited to join the Warriors as an Official Affiliate Marketing Partner!
This announcement comes off the heels of a historical first for the NBA. Earlier this year, the NBA Board of Governors approved the sale of jersey sponsorships. Rakuten enters the first-ever jersey-badge partnership with the Warriors beginning with the 2017-18 season. The Rakuten logo will appear on a badge on all Warrior practice, regular, post-season and Summer League uniforms. Additionally, the Warrior’s Practice Facility is now named the Rakuten Performance Center.
Rakuten Marketing is delighted to participate in this partnership between Rakuten and the 2017 NBA Champions. Significant representation will be provided with the Warriors traveling party. Additional sales and marketing elements are included in the sponsorship, such as in-arena signage, and digital, social and radio marketing.
