Bing rolled a Beta for Bing Shopping Campaign management to a select group of advertisers. They are testing a more intuitive interface that will allow advertisers to make more informed bidding decisions for their Product Ads.
The new interface will allow advertisers to directly import existing Google Shopping campaigns. Like Google AdWords, performance can be seen and sorted by category and product level. In addition, Bing Shopping will also offer competitive benchmarks to help advertisers optimize their campaign performance.
A dedicated Bing rep is required to get into the program right now, with a larger roll out this summer. However, if you aren’t already taking advantage of Product Listing Ads within Bing don’t wait to get into the beta to do so. The Yahoo Bing Network draws over 540 million monthly retail searches (comScore US, Sept. 2014). This is a substantial amount of online shopping traffic to miss out on. Additionally, Product Ads take up more space on the search results page and can show simultaneously with text ads. This can be a powerful combination to aid in clicks and potentially lead to conversions.
To get started now:
- Have a Bing Merchant Center Store with valid feed
- Contact your Bing representative to be enrolled in the Beta Program
- Create a Shopping Campaign in Bing or Import your existing Shopping Campaigns from Google
